Decentralized platforms like Bitcoin changed cryptocurrency forever, but Ethereum is going to change so much more. Before you can successfully mine and invest in Ethereum, you need to understand where it came from, how it works, and how it's different than Bitcoin. The founder of Ethereum wanted to create a blockchain that could incorporate applications and not just currency. He made Ethereum, which has a more complex code and system of "tokens", which represent anything of value, not just Ether, which is the fuel that Ethereum uses. Using Ethereum is similar to other cryptocurrencies, with its system of keys and wallets. If you've never used Bitcoin before, this audiobook walks you through what you need to know to set up an Ethereum wallet and start collecting Ether. You have a private and public key; the private key is just for your use and lets the blockchain know who you are, while the public key is an address that people can send Ether to. The wallet stores the key and gives you access to your Ether. There are lots of types of wallets, so you'll learn about the best options, and how to buy and send Ether. Security is a major issue with Ethereum, so you need to know what risks you're taking and how to keep your account safe. You can lose your Ether in a variety of ways, like by simply losing your private key, or when the exchange you're using collapses. To keep your Ether secure, you need to consider cold storage (keeping your Ether offline), choosing the right exchange, and keeping your email super secure. This is stuff you need to know. You can never be too careful when it comes to Ethereum security. One way you can collect Ether is to mine it, and this audiobook explains exactly how to do that. If you want to be on the forefront of technology and learn about how the future will be powered by the blockchain and Ethereum, get this audiobook and get ahead of the crowd. 1. Language: English. In December 2128, the war with the Libra Alliance ended when the Dixie fleet diverted an asteroid into the Libra home world, killing nearly all life there. The collapse of the Libra Alliance created a major power vacuum. Old enemies that had been kept in check by the Alliance soon were once again at war with each other. Navy ships without homes became pirates. The restored League of Planets, now with a strong fleet and army, prepared to incorporate planets that had been part of the Libra Alliance into the league, by force if necessary. The Dixians, sick of war, were content to pick up life where it left off when the war began, though some members of the government desired more. The Gray Panthers of Earth began to mothball their fleet, safe behind their allies and strong defenses. Old and young started to look for opportunities. One had it harder than most. As a baby, the Jacka runt Short Blade had survived a religious ritual his race used to cleanse their society of undesirables, only to be sold to a Libra ship crew before he became a teen. Short Blade had learned much during his indentureship with the Libras, and when freed by the humans he enlisted in the Gray Panthers, quickly rising to the rank of chief petty officer and then ensign. With the end of the war, he couldn't go home to a life of discrimination among his own race. On Earth he would be a freak, without any others of his kind. Dan Daniels, owner of the Gray Panthers, offered him an opportunity in this brave new world: his own long-range shuttle, in exchange for the occasional favor. What could possibly go wrong? 1. Monetary policy is that part of the macroeconomics, which attempts to achieve a set of objectives that are expressed in terms of several macroeconomic variables such as inflation, real output, money supply, exchange rate or employment. As a result, any change in the monetary policy will have an effect on these variables. For instance, monetary policy actions such as changes in the central bank discount rate may have an indirect effect on these variables. Therefore, it has been said that as broader financial markets are quick to incorporate new information, a more direct and contiguous effect of changes in the monetary policy instruments may be identified using financial data. Hence, in order to identify the monetary policy mechanism transmission into the stock market, understanding the sensitivity of stock market with respect to monetary policy is very important. This book examines whether current economic activities or more specifically the monetary policy tools of Bangladesh and India can explain stock market returns in short run and long-run horizon by using a number of multivariate tests.
With the construction industry moving rapidly towards Building Information Modelling (BIM), it is essential that various analysis tools used in the Architecture, Engineering and Construction (AEC) domain are interoperable with a non-proprietary data exchange standard such as the Industry Foundation Classes (IFC). Governments worldwide have committed to incorporate fully collaborative BIM in all public sector projects and are also targeting to achieve a zero-carbon building stock. This dual target will require the use of renewable energy system (RES) analysis tools in the early stages of the building design process and establish the need for these tools to be IFC compliant. This book captures the development of a methodology to support RES simulation by using architectural BIM models based on open data exchange standards thereby enhancing their interoperability. Various methods currently used in RES assessment and integrated BIM tools have been reviewed in this research. This book culminates with the idea of a prototype that can be used by architects for RES analysis in conceptual design stages which would facilitate decision making in creating zero-carbon buildings of the future.
This book discusses the mutual relationship between service and sustainability. It covers methodologies and approaches and describes measurements and tools that can promote sustainability on the service market. Lastly, it presents the different applications of sustainability, together with examples of sustainable services.Environmental concerns have become integral to any decision-making process in the design and implementation of goods and services. With the increasing dominance of the service sector, and as service systems become more complex and interdisciplinary, the focus must move from the exchange of products to that of services. Newly created services should thus aim to incorporate sustainability into their designs while viewing sustainability as a service in its own right. Integrating sustainability in the service design and development process is essential to improving the sustainability of our society and preserving the environment. Moreover, doing so shifts the service boundaries from values that are focused only on personal, local, and current needs and economic profit to those that are broader and more future oriented, ultimately placing greater social and environmental responsibility on all stakeholders. In addition, it advances the current state-of-the-art in sustainable development and service design and contributes to improving the quality of life on a global scale.
