Dying is what changed Mary O´Reilly´s life. Well, actually, coming back from the dead and having the ability to communicate with ghosts is really what did it. Now, a private investigator in rural Freeport, Illinois, Mary´s trying to learn how to incorporate her experience as a Chicago cop and new-found talent into a real job. Her challenge is to solve the mysteries, get real evidence (a ghost´s word just doesn´t hold up in court), and be sure the folks in town, especially the handsome new police chief, don´t think she´s nuts. Twenty-four years ago, a young woman drowned in the swimming pool of a newly elected state senator. It was ruled an accident. But now, as the senator prepares to move on to higher positions, the ghost of the woman is appearing to the Senator´s wife. Mary is hired to discover the truth behind the death. She unearths a connection between the murder and the disappearance of five little girls whose cases, 24 years later, are still all unsolved. As she digs further, she becomes the next target for the serial killers´ quest to tie up all his loose ends. 1. Language: English. Narrator: Erin Spencer. The virgin Mary has always been a fascinating spiritual power to me. I have always resonated with the sacred feminine in her various forms, so it was easy for me to connect to the great mother Mary. She represents to me the most perfect form of motherly nurturing and care. I also feel a sense of sanctity and inner peace when I pray to her. I love her energy very much. Hundreds of millions of people pray to her for assistance, and it has been shown that she does answer. She has been seen in countless apparitions all over the world; there are more Mary sightings than there are sightings of Jesus. She is a special spiritual force and it is for this reason I am writing this book. If you have heard my other audiobooks in the Tapping Miracles series, you will see that this is a little bit of a departure from the other books. In this book we will incorporate prayers to Mary with meridian tapping. Prayer itself is a powerful energetic initiator in and of itself but incorporating it with Meridian tapping increases this energy 10 fold. You will be literally tapping Mary´s beautiful and sanctified energy into your very being. You will feel her peace on and within you. As thanks to Mary, I will give 10% of the proceeds from this book to St Jude Hospital for kids. 1. Language: English. Narrator: Doron Alon. The Last Man is Mary Shelley´s apocalyptic fantasy of the end of human civilisation. Set in the late 21st century, the novel unfolds a sombre and pessimistic vision of mankind confronting inevitable destruction. Interwoven with her futuristic theme, Mary Shelley incorporates idealised portraits of Shelley and Byron, yet rejects Romanticism and its faith in art and nature. 1. Language: English. Set in the late twenty-first century, the novel unfolds a sombre and pessimistic vision of mankind confronting inevitable destruction. Mary Wollstonecraft Shelley (1797-1851) was the only daughter of Mary Wollstonecraft, author of Vindication of the Rights of Woman, and the radical philosopher William Godwin. Her mother died ten days after her birth and the young child was educated through contact with her father´s intellectual circle and her own reading. She met Percy Bysshe Shelley in 1812; they eloped in July 1814. In the summer of 1816 she began her first and most famous novel, Frankenstein. Three of her children died in early infancy and in 1822 her husband was drowned. Mary returned to England with her surviving son and wrote novels, short stories and accounts of her travels; she was the first editor of P.B.Shelley´s poetry and verse. 1. Language: English. Are you a secular writer who also strives to incorporate messages of hope or faith? I´m one of those writers, and I´ve fought for years to learn how to balance both aspects successfully. In this short nonfiction audiobook, I´ll share the method I´ve learned to subtly incorporate faith-based messages in secular stories. I´ll discuss: How to fill your spiritual well and know what to add without getting preachy Know where and how to add these precious gems of knowledge via the sneaky art of sub-plotting How to stay resilient against the adversary while considering marketability I´d love to help you get your stories to the next level of hope and faith. 1. Persuasion has certain similarities with Emma, another late novel by Jane Austen. In both stories, the heroine is a young woman who lives with her widowed father, and who has an enduring attachment to her eventual spouse from the opening of the action. Persuasion also incorporates certain elements common to Austen´s earlier novels, such as characters from the military, visits to Bath and calculating and cynical suitors. In the end, Anne Elliot successfully combats the destructive vanity of her father and the machinations of her villainous cousin William, and settles down with her long-time beloved, the noble Captain Frederick Wentworth.
